1. 📝 Terms & Conditions

1.1 Acceptance of Terms
By using Compet Care services—app or website—you agree to these Terms & Conditions and UK-specific policies, including UK Market Policy & Prohibited Activities.

1.2 Eligibility
Users must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use services in the UK. We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.

1.3 Services Provided
Compet Care offers video vet consultations, grooming, training, health record management, e-commerce for pet products, and emergency helplines. We do not offer pet selling, boarding, or rehoming in the UK.

1.4 User Conduct
Users must only use services for lawful, authorized pet-care purposes. Prohibited Conduct includes sale/adoption of pets, false information, impersonation of professionals, and violation of UK animal welfare laws.

1.5 Booking & Payment
Bookings processed via app; pricing and availability are clearly displayed. Users accept recurring billing (if subscribed) and affiliate charges.

1.6 Account Suspension/Termination
Rights reserved to suspend or terminate for policy breaches or illegal conduct. No refund for such actions unless required.

1.7 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under law, Compet Care and providers shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Maximum liability capped at price paid for service/goods.

1.8 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by UK law. Any disputes to be resolved in UK courts.


2. 🔒 Privacy Policy

We strictly follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2.1 Personal Data Collected
Includes name, email, payment info, pet details, location, usage logs, and encrypted health consultation records.

2.2 How We Use Data
For service delivery (bookings, consultations), personalization, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. No sale of personal data.

2.3 Data Sharing
Shared only with service providers, payment processors, insurance partners, or where legally required (e.g. regulatory authorities). Data is not sold.

2.4 User Rights
Users may request data access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction via the app or by contacting privacy@competcare.co.uk. Complaints directed to the UK ICO.

2.5 Security Measures
Implement SSL, encryption, secure servers, and internal access protocols. Regular audits conducted.

2.6 Data Retention
Personal and health data stored for up to 7 years post last service or until user deletion request.

2.7 Children’s Privacy
Our services are not designed for children under 13. Personal data from underage users will be deleted upon discovery.


3. 🔁 Returns & Exchanges Policy

Applicable to physical goods purchased via our e-commerce marketplace.

3.1 Returns Window
30 calendar days from delivery for most non-perishable goods in original packaging and unused condition.

3.2 Exchange Options
If item is defective, you can request a replacement of equal or greater value. If not available, you may get store credit or refund.

3.3 Faulty or Incorrect Items
Report within 14 days. Compet Care arranges prepaid return and refunds or replacements upon receipt and inspection.

3.4 Procedure to Return
Contact support@competcare.co.uk or use the app. We’ll provide return shipping if eligible.

3.5 Refund Timeline
Issued within 14 business days after receipt. Refund credited within up to 5 UK banking days.

3.6 Non-Returnable Items
Custom-made items, food opened or partially used, and health-sensitive consumables cannot be returned.


4. 📱 Mobile App Policy

4.1 App Usage
Permitted for booking services, consultations, training & purchases. All activities governed by UK Market Policy.

4.2 Third-Party Access
Users may integrate payment, calendar, or health apps. Permissions are voluntary and revocable via device settings.

4.3 Automatic Updates
App updates may occur to fix bugs, enhance features, or comply with UK laws. Users will be notified via app stores.

4.4 Security & Authentication
Two-factor authentication is required for account changes. Password stored encrypted. Keep your login data secure.

4.5 Notification Settings
Users may enable or disable service & marketing notifications at any time via app settings.

4.6 User-Generated Content
Comments, reviews, photos: users grant Compet Care a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and display content across platforms.

4.7 Banned Content
No illegal content, defamatory materials, or sales/boarding adverts. Violations may result in content removal and account suspension.


5. ❌ Cancellation Policy

5.1 Cancelled Bookings by User

  • Vet appointments may be cancelled up to 24 hours before scheduled time for a full refund. Less than 24 hours = 50% charge. No‑show = full charge.
  • Grooming & training may be cancelled up to 48 hours before; later cancellation = 50% charge, no‑show = full charge.

5.2 Cancelled by Compet Care or Provider
If cancelled by provider, users receive a full refund or immediate rescheduling option at no extra cost.

5.3 Subscription Cancellations
Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime, effective at the end of the billing period. No partial refunds; billing resumes next cycle unless cancelled before renewal.

5.4 Refund Timing
Processed within 7 business days and credited within next UK bank cycle.


6. 🚚 Shipping Policy

6.1 Delivery Times
UK Standard: 3–5 business days. Express options (1–2 days) also available at extra cost.

6.2 Shipping Costs
Flat rate of £4.99 standard or free for orders over £50. Regions like Northern Ireland, Highlands, and Islands may incur surcharges.

6.3 Tracking & Notifications
Users receive a tracking link via email/app once shipped.

6.4 Damaged or Missing Items
Report within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll arrange return and reship or refund at our cost.

6.5 International Orders
Currently, we ship within the UK only. Future expansion subject to Customs & VAT compliance.


7. 👥 Vendor Management Policy

Applies to service providers and product vendors in the UK.

7.1 Eligibility & Vetting
All vendors must hold valid UK licences, DBS checks (if applicable), insurance, and comply with local animal welfare regulations.

7.2 Onboarding Process
Submission of documents: licences, credentials, proof of insurance, DBS/CRB checks, and references. Approval by Compet Care Team required.

7.3 Code of Conduct

  • Provide clear pricing, accurate availability, and honest service descriptions.
  • Adhere to UK animal welfare standards.
  • Respect user privacy; do not share user data.

7.4 Performance Monitoring
Providers monitored via user ratings, reviews, punctuality, and professionalism. Repeated poor performance may lead to suspension or removal.

7.5 Contract & Fees
Vendors agree to Compet Care’s terms, including commission structure (20–30%). Monthly performance and income statements provided to vendors.

7.6 Policy Enforcement

  • Minor infractions: warnings.
  • Major or repeated breaches: suspension or termination.
  • Competitive behaviour and unethical conduct are strictly forbidden.
